Trick Locks
A trick lock looks exactly like a normal padlock. It does not open like one.
The challenge is hidden inside the mechanism itself. There is no combination to crack, no key that works the way you expect. The only way to open it is to figure out what is actually going on inside the lock.
Trick locks tend to be more intuitive and accessible than sequential discovery puzzles, making them a great starting point for anyone new to mechanical puzzles. But do not let that fool you. Some of our trick locks will keep even experienced solvers busy for hours.
